FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
FAQ's: PEDOMETERS
Q. Why are pedometers so motivating to the people that have them?
Pedometers create obvious feedback on how active a person is being. They create an awareness that inspires people to take more steps each and every day!
Q. Why can't I read the numbers on my pedometer screen?
All our EverybodyFit pedometers are equipped with an LCD Screen. Check the battery of the pedometer if you are having trouble seeing this screen. If a new battery doesn't solve the problem, contact us.
Q. Is my pedometer broken if I have less steps than my walking partners even though we walked the same distance?
No. The reason your pedometer is reading less steps than your walking buddies is because your stride length (the average distance between each of your steps) is longer than their stride lengths. That means it takes less steps for you to walk to same distance. Don't get discouraged! Concentrate on increasing your personal step count each day with your weekly goals.
